Pikeville Library summer reading

Pikeville Library’s summer reading program will be held each Thursday from 10-11 a.m. through July 23. All children are invited to participate.

3HC Wings Camp

3HC’s ninth annual Wings Camp will take place from July 31 through August 2 at the Woodmen of the World Camp in Dover.

Wings is a grief camp that began in 2000 to offer children, ranging from ages 8 to 16, support from trained counselors and other children who have experienced similar family losses. Campers are not restricted to families served by 3HC - any child who has suffered a family loss is eligible. During camp, children are given the opportunity to express their feelings and emotions concerning the death of a family member, role model, friend, or any other loss of a loved one.

3HC currently is recruiting campers and volunteers for Wings. For more information or to reserve your child’s place at camp, please contact Jane Quinn at (800) 260-4442.
