Leave it to Hall to bring the ripples.
Charles B. Aycock’s sensation Devin Hall captured his fourth straight NCHSAA 3-A Eastern Region diving title on Monday at the Pullen Center in Raleigh.
Hall racked up 268.5 points to beat his backyard rival Willie Smith of Eastern Wayne, who was second.
Chapel Hill’s James Willingham, another rival of Hall, was third.
Over the course of 11 dives from the one-meter board, Hall showed his talent and diversity.
Hall, who won state titles in his freshman and sophomore seasons and was second as a junior, will go for a third state title on Friday. Willingham, off his game at the regional meet, and Smith will also be in the field.
