sheriff’s report

1 January 2009 – On Dec. 28, at 7:40 a.m., an assault on a female was reported in Pikeville. Tammy Mitchell O’Brien, 39, was reportedly pushed in the face and grabbed by her wrist at her home on Old Kenly Rd. in Pikeville. The offender is believed to be the husband of the victim, Michael Patrick O’Brien, who has been charged with assault on a female, communication of threats, and injury to personal property. He is being held without bond.

On Dec. 26, at 11:50 a.m., an assault inflicting serious injury was reported on Carla Ann Dr. in Pikeville. The victim, Daniel Earl Lang, 21, of Fort Lewis, Wa., was reportedly shot in the face with an airgun. The offender was reported as the father of the victim.

Brandon Scott Barrow, 23, was arrested on Leavie St. in Pikeville under charges of identity theft and felony probation violation. The arrest occurred on Dec. 28 at 5:30 a.m. Barrow is being held under $25,000 bond, and also faces a charge of possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.

Calvin Moore, IV, 31, of Sandhill Dr. in Dudley was arrested for assault on a child under twelve on Dec. 26 at 5:50 a.m. The complaint was made by Keith Edmundson of Britian Dr. in Pikeville. Moore is being held under $1,500 bond.

Kevin Dyrol Smith, 45, of Memorial Church Rd. in Fremont was arrested on Dec. 28 at 8 p.m. He is charged with driving while license revoked and is being held under $3,000 bond.
