pikeville police report

17 April 2008 — The Pikeville Police Department reported the following incidents:

The town reported larceny and meter tampering at a residence on Russell Drive Monday. The town had turned off water and electricity at the home on April 4 due to non-payment. On Monday, a town employee noticed the meters had been tampered with and the readings had increased.

Larry Keith Daugthry, 48, of Pikeville was mowing the lawn for the town when he noticed clear electrical outlet covers missing from the stage at the town park. Four covers, valued at $25 each, were reported stolen on Monday.

Robert Lee Redford, 32, of Goldsboro was arrested on Friday for unlawful operation of a motor vehicle.

Cynthia Leigh Hubbell, 21, of Pikeville was cited for speeding on Main Street last Thursday. She was charged with driving 53 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Jacqueline Antoinette Faulk, 18, of Pikeville and Sylvia Wells Wood, 56, of Goldsboro were involved in an accident at the intersection of Goldsboro and Main Streets. Ms. Faulk pulled her vehicle into the street to turn right, as Ms. Wood’s vehicle was in the turn lane to turn left. Ms. Faulk’s vehicle struck Ms. Wood’s in the right side. Ms. Faulk’s 2001 Dodge sustained an estimated $1,500 worth of damages, while Ms. Wood’s 1992 Buick sustained an estimated $4,000.
