highway patrol report

3 April 2008 — The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported the following accidents:

Kristina Lynn Grimes, 18, of Pikeville was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 222 in Fremont March 20. Ms. Grimes ran off of the roadway to the right, overcorrected and crossed the centerline. The vehicle then rolled over three times and struck an embankment. Her 1994 Chevrolet sustained an estimated $3,000 worth of damages.

Matthew Ryan Perry, 17, of Goldsboro and Christina Rene Snipes, 16, of Pikeville were involved in a bump-up in the Aycock high school parking lot on March 19. Ms. Snipes’ vehicle struck Mr. Perry’s as they were exiting the lot. Ms. Snipes' vehicle sustained no damage, while Mr. Perry’s 2002 Chevrolet sustained an estimate $100 worth of damages.

Leslie Randall Howell, 62, of Wilson struck a deer on March 20 on Black Creek Road.
