Aycock men sweep Fike

27 March 2008 — The Aycock men’s tennis team swept Fike on Wednesday, with a 9-0 win over the Golden Demons.

The closest matches of the night were the number 4 and 6 singles matches, which required tie breakers for the win.

After a 2-6 first set and a winning 6-1 second set, Aycock’s fourth-seeded Ben Evans won with a 10-1 win for the tiebreaker. Rawad Alawar defeated his opponent 6-3 in his first set, but fell 3-6 in the second to push the match into a tie-breaker. He then won the third set 10-4 for the win.
