Soccer team beats North Lenoir20 March 2008 — The Aycock ladies’ soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss on the road to Beddingfield last Tuesday. The Lady Falcons held off the Beddingfield defense for much of the game, but a shot slipped by goalie Courntey Sheeks with six minutes left in the game for the Bruins’ first point. Sheeks had 12 saves in goal for the night. Aycock’s soccer team earned their first win of the season Wednesday night with a 1-0 victory over North Lenior. Caroline Schlaeppi scored the Falcons’ only goal on an assist by Taylor DeMartini. Sheeks had 15 saves in goal. Aycock had a conference win against Kinston on Friday, finishing with a 3-1 advantage. Abby Caplinger, Lauren Adcox, and Schlaeppi had a goal each for the Falcons.
