Pikeville Police calls28 February 2008 – A larceny at the Pikeville Family Dollar was solved on Wednesday.An employee of the store called police and reported that a man had left the store running across the Food Lion parking lot toward a vehicle, and she suspected he had stolen something. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle parked by the store, and the suspect was inside. The man, James Henry Hicks Jr., 52, of Pikeville did not have the stolen property in the car. Officers located the stolen property, two five-piece curtain sets and four CD players, behind the store. Mr. Hicks was arrested for misdemeanor larceny.
