Final Hoops contest winner28 February 2008 – A win is a win, but you hate to see a big game decided on a tie-breaker.In the final week of the Pick the Hoops Contest, we have a hard fought but clear winner. In a week full of upsets, one picker correctly picked all seven games: Todd Rose of Eureka. Mr. Rose, who we know is a big NC State fan, will be at the RBC for the Duke game Saturday at noon. Two were able to sail through with only one miss: Daisy Best and Jim Shackleford. Honorable mentions go to Connie Ballance, Lee Brown, Devone Jones, Connie Lancaster, Nathaniel L. Sanders Jr., and Billy Suggs. Thanks to all who entered this year, and we hope you enjoyed this year’s contest. Fremont Rescue and EMS BBQA barbecue chicken dinner sponsored by Fremont Rescue and EMS will be held on Sunday, March 2 starting at 11; eat in, take out, or drive-thru, at the EMS Building on Sycamore Street.
