CBA, Norwayne DECArations

31 January 2008 — The Charles B. Aycock DECA chapter has been working with Norwayne Middle School business and marketing students in the eighth grade to teach them how they can be young entrepreneurs.

Last year, the CBA DECA chapter started their own t-shirt business called DECAration and are using that business as  model to teach the middle school students.

Eighth grade students in Mrs. Elam and Mrs. Nethercutt’s classes were challenged to design a t-shirt about entrepreneurship that would be entered into a design competition.

The CBA chapter picked a first place shirt, as well as winners for the four classes. The first place shirt will be screen printed by a local company, Screen-It, and the DECA chapter will be giving all students in the class a shirt.
