Bringing in the new year03 January 2008 – New Year's celebration at Pleasant Grove. Blood drive at Eureka UMCEureka United Methodist Church will hold a blood drive on Thursday, January 10 at the church, 128 Church Street, Eureka, from 2:30-7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, or call to sign up for a slot. For an appointment or more information, call Mamie Chase at 242-5524. Watchmen QuartetThe Watchmen Quartet will perform at First Baptist Church in Pikeville on Sunday, January 6. The performance will begin at 6:00. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. Storytime for preschoolersPreschool story time for children ages 2-5 is held at the Fremont Library on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. Children are invited to come and participate in songs, craft projects, and the reading of fun books. Fremont Free ClinicThe Fremont People's Free Clinic is held every third Saturday of the month, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at 107 Ward Street. Please come fasting if you would like your labs checked.
