Aycock wrestlers take sixth

03 January 2008 – The Charles B. Aycock wrestlers earned a sixth-place finish in their division at the Knightdale Duals tournament this weekend.

The Falcons faced four tough teams, and earned a win over only one opponent. In their third match of the tournament, the Aycock boys earned a 41-19 win over Havelock, who placed fifth in the tournament overall. They fell just shy of a second win over Panther Creek, falling 38-30.

Earlier in the evening, the Falcons lost 50-20 against Greenhope High and 46-21 against West Forsyth.

The Aycock grapplers had a break for the holidays, but will resume their schedule on Thursday with a match at Beddinfield.
