Final Pigskin results

29 November 2007 – The final week of the Pigskin Pickin’ Contest came down to a Wolfpack ambush that few could foresee at all, much less get close on guessing the score.

Many got the other five games right, but most missed the NC State loss to Maryland Saturday. Only four got all six picks right.

Of those four, no one came close to picking the 37-0 whitewashing the Turtles put on State.

In the tie-breaker, Russell Reynolds of Goldsboro emerged our winner, by the slimmest of margins, beating out Daisy Best of Goldsboro by a single point, 28-17 by Mr. Reynolds, to 31-21 for Ms. Best.

He won two tickets to the NC State at ECU basketball game on Saturday, December 8.
Also getting all correct were: Chris Keen and Brady Grantham.

Runner-up honors go to: James Balance, Lanell Brown, Dan Crawford, H.T. Grantham, Donnie Hare, Devone Jones, Vickie Pippin, Harold D. Richardson, Billy Suggs and Denny Tart.

Honorable mentions this week go to: Connie Ballance, Ronnie A. Barnes, Nell Grantham, Valerie Howell, Nathaniel L. Sanders Jr., and Stephen Tart.

We hope you have enjoyed the contest. If you have, please tell our sponsoring advertisers.

Be on the lookout for our Big Bowl Finale next month.
