Northwest Optimist Award winner

29 November 2007 – Every school in Wayne County is asked to nominate a student who is well-rounded and exemplifies good citizenship. These students also show kindness and exhibit an optimistic attitude. The Goldsboro Optimist Club honors these students, their parents, and their teacher with a pizza party at First Baptist Church in Goldsboro. This program is called the Optimist All Stars. The students are presented with a trophy and a certificate for their optimistic attitude.

Chris Sauls, fourth grader at Northwest, has been nominated for the second year from the school by Kim Thomas, second grade teacher.
