Aycock students arrested for Faro Road break-in

29 November 2007 – Two Aycock students have been arrested for involvement in a Faro Road break-in.

Derek Christopher Langley, 18, of 1005 Vail Road, Pikeville, was charged with second-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen property, and placed under $9000 secured bond. Scott Lee Schuch, 16, of 203 W. Martin Street, Eureka, his accomplice, was charged with accessory to second-degree burglary and possession of stolen property, and placed under $4000 secured bond.

Langley was charged after an investigation was conducted into a late-evening break-in at a residence on Faro Road in Eureka. Langley allegedly stole electronic equipment and several firearms, transported them to Schuch's home, and stored the property there. Detectives searched a wooded area near Schuch's residence and located most of the electronic equipment, stored inside a tent setup by the suspects. The weapons were discovered inside the residence. One of the weapons had been sawed off after the robbery. All property was recovered and returned to the owner.
