Pigskin Pickin' results

15 November 2007 — The Pigskin Pickin’ Contest had an easy one to pick as nearly everyone picked ECU to down lowly Marshall. Problem was the Thundering Herd pulled the unpredictable upset.

With some other tough games, the top of the heap was thin, with only four getting through the slate with only one miss, throwing it to the tie-breaker. And there, Dan Crawford was unbeatable. The Raleigh resident hit the score for the NCSU-UNC game right on the button, 31-27.

Others just missing one were: James Ballance, Russell Reynolds and Eddie Yelverton.
Runner-ups this week were: Ronnie A. Barnes, Brady Grantham, Donnie Hare, Valerie Howell, Devone Jones, Connie Price, Todd Rose, Nathaniel L. Sanders Jr. and James Vinson.

Honorable mentions go out to: H.T. Grantham, David Hill, Mario Re, Harold Richardson, Denny Tart and Lee Toler.

Mr. Crawford wins our last two football tickets, to the Tulane at ECU game on Nov. 24.

We’ve got a special set of basketball tickets for this week’s winners, two tickets to the NCSU at ECU game Sat., Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. Could be you, but only if you enter. Cut out the entry, fill it out, and bring it to our office or mail it to us by 5 p.m. Friday, or enter online.

If you have enjoyed the football contest, please tell our advertisers who make it possible.
