deaths and funerals - Wayne-Wilson News Leader, Fremont, NC

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph's F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Leslie Capers officiating. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Burden of the home; three sons, Raimon Artis of Philadelphia, Pa., Patrick Artis of Durham, Angelo Burden of Goldsboro; a daughter, Monica Burden of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Edna Davis, Dorothy Best, Christine McKeithan, Patricia Ann Simms, all of Goldsboro, Ernestine Winfield of Chesapeake, Va., Evonne Crumbley of Hinesville, Ga.; brothers, Leon Burden, Terry Burden and Thurman Burden, all of Goldsboro.
