WCC honor society inductees

8 November 2007 — Forty-six students have been accepted into Wayne Community College’s Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges in the fall 2007 semester.

Phi Theta Kappa members represent the top 10 percent of students enrolled in two-year schools. To be invited into the society, WCC students must show academic achievement with a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average. They must have completed a minimum of 16 hours of course work leading to an associate degree.

The new members, all from Pikeville, and their majors include Jessica Bravo, Business Administration/Marketing and Retailing; Justin Gardner, Welding; Lynn Herndon, Medical Office Administration; Richard Howell, Associate in Science; Lisa M. Lane, Information Systems; James H. Ridgle, Associate in Nursing; Amanda L. Roberts, Medical Office Administration; and Michael Neil Sims, Industrial Systems.
