Pigskin results

1 November 2007 — Some tough games kept all the entrants in last week’s Pigskin Pickin’ Contest out of the perfect category.

Four made it through the six games with only one loss, but two of those went the wrong way on the UNC-Wake Forest tie-breaker, favoring the Heels. Of the other two, Dean Sauls of LaGrange, the Wayne County Schools Athletic Director, was the better predictor of the final score, guessing a 38-17 final, just eight off the actual 37-10.

The others with only one miss were: David Hill, Matt Spence and Stephen Tart.

Runner- ups were: Daisy Best, Lanell Brown, H.T. Grantham, Nell Grantham, Valerie Howell, Devone Jones, Curtis Neal, Lewis Craig Partin, Todd Rose, Nathaniel L. Sanders Jr., Abbie Shackleford, Jay Shackleford, Denny Tart, Lee Toler and Eddie Yelverton.

Honorable mentions go to: James Ballance, Brady Grantham and Jim Shackleford.

Mr. Sauls won two tickets to the Tulane-ECU game on November 24, and we have two more tickets for the game up for grabs for this week’s winner. It could be you, but only if you enter.

Cut out the entry in today’s paper and mail it in or bring it to our office by 5 p.m. Friday, or enter online by 5 p.m. Friday.
