Philips, Brown to wed

1 November 2007 — Mr. and Mrs. Fredric Ronald Philips of Greenville announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Philips, to William Gaston Brown of Greenville. Ashley is the granddaughter of Joseph and the late Dorothy Philips of Clinton, Jacqueline Bond of Greenville, and James Bond of Farmville. She attended NC State University for her undergraduate degree in Business, and ECU for her MBA. She is currently employed by Lorillard Tobacco Company as a Sales Representative. Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Brown, III, of Fremont, and the grandson of Betsy and Raymond Peacock of Fremont, and Ruby and the late Joseph Brown, II, of Fremont. He attended Wayne Community College to obtain his A&P license, and is employed by Atlantic Power Systems as a technician. The wedding is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on April 19, 2008 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville.
