Norwayne Cobras dominate

18 October 2007 — Norwayne's football team posted a 22-14 win over Eastern Wayne last Thursday.

Colin Dubose, Willie Sutton, and Adam Tate (on a 15 yard pass from Preston Tucker), scored the three touchdowns for the Cobras.

Coach Lance Jernigan cited the play of Hunter Jones, Chris Dawson and Tyler Hall on defense.

Norwayne’s soccer team also took a win, at Greenwood Monday, 5-2.

Juan Pina and Trey Millard each had two goals, and Chase Thompson had one. Bryan Johnson and Pina were each credited with assists.

The soccer team improved to 5-2-1 and 1-1-0 in Div. I play.

In addition, the Lady Cobra volleyball team continued their unbeaten streak with a 25-12, 25-7, 25-20 whitewash of Greenwood Monday.

Kayla Willliams led Norwayne with ten service points.

Last Thursday Norwayne similarly dominated Eastern Wayne at Eastern Wayne, 25-16, 25-12, 25-12.

Connor Davis had 19 service points, and Ivy Hartzell had 15.

The Lady Cobras stand at 9-0 in all games, 4-0 in conference play.
