CBA tennis team heads to playoffs

18 October 2007 — Playoff season has begun for the Aycock tennis team.

The CBA girls wrapped up the Eastern Carolina Conference Tournament last week claiming the two top spots in the doubles competition.

Kristen Prosser and Kristen Bennett teamed to sweep their second round match after an opening bye, and rallied after dropping the second set to advance to the regionals. They won the higher seed by topping teammates Courtney Barnes and Emily Quinn, 6-3, 6-4.

Barnes and Quinn advanced with straight set wins into the finals.

CBA will also be competing in the dual team playoffs.
