Falcons fall to Hunt

11 October 2007

The Lady Falcons volleyball teams dropped games against Hunt last Thursday night, ending with a 4-4 conference record for the junior varsity and a 1-7 record for the varsity.
The varsity ladies began their last home game by celebrating their senior players. But the energy of the night wasn’t enough to mount a win against Hunt, who defeated the girls in three games. Final scores were 35-16, 25-16, and 25-23.
Lee Ann Sager was a lead player for the night, earning 16 kills, while Emily Jordan had 14 digs.
The loss put the varsity at 2-12 for the season.
The JV ladies faced a similar fate, losing in three games to Hunt. After the ladies lost the first match 19-25, they bounced back for a win in the second, 25-21. But Hunt earned the final victory and the game, 14-25.
Victoria Benton had 5 kills for the JV Falcons, while Miranda Aycock had 4 aces. The junior varsity is at 6-7 for the season.
