highway patrol report   

4 October 2007 — The North Carolina Highway Patrol reported the following incidents:

Charles Tyson Stocks, 22, of Turner Swamp Road in Eureka was involved in a single vehicle accident on Highway 222 on September 26. He was traveling east on the highway when a deer entered the roadway. Mr. Stocks' 1993 Chevrolet struck the deer, causing $1,000 worth of damages to the vehicle.

Sybil Warrick Knox, 47, of Goldsboro and Gardencio Alaniz Osorio, 46, of Pikeville were involved in an accident on Highway 117 on September 24. Both vehicles were traveling north on the highway when Mr. Osorio's vehicle stopped to make a left turn. Ms. Knox said she didn't see him in time to stop, so she tried to pass him. However, her vehicle struck his on the left panel door. Mr. Osorio's 1993 Chevrolet sustained an estimated $1,000 worth of damages. Ms. Knox's Ford sustained an estimated $2,500 worth of damages.
