6 September 2007 — The Stantonsburg Police Department reported the following incidents:

On August 20, Thomas Goff, a town employee, noticed that a utility meter at a residence on Julian Avenue had been rigged to not record electrical use properly. The owner of the home, Bobby Noel West, 61,  was arrested for interfering with utility meter and injury to real property. He was taken to the Wilson County Jail and held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. It is estimated that, in addition to the $30 of damages inflicted on the meter, the discrepancy cost the town $3,729.

Daniel Robert Whitley, 19, of Pelt Road reported damage to property on Friday. While driving over the tracks, a railroad spike punctured a hole in Mr. Whitley’s rear passenger side tire.

Donna Michelle Swaney, 27, of Pope Farm Road was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on August 21.

The department also issued the following citations:

Harvetta Lucas, 43, of Columbus, GA was cited on August 21 for speeding at 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Barbara Warrick Bissett, 41, of Roanoke rapids was cited on August 22 for speeting at 69 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Gary Dennison, 67, of Saratoga was cited for failure to carry license on August 29.

Thaddeus Washington, 46, of Lucama was cited for failure to carry license on August 23.

Lister Altovese Edwards, 31, of Wilson was cited on August 24 for speeding at 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Patrick Tetriale Leach, 29, of Wilson was cited on August 27 for driving while license revoked.

Eric Joseph Lippert, 24, of Wilson was cited for speeding on September 1, going 64 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Roscoe Langston, 62, of Wilson was cited for driving while license revoked and speeding at 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.

TammyDee M. Ferris, 40, of Plainville, CT was cited for a seatbelt violation and driving while license revoked.

Laureano Cortez Cruz, 45, of Wilson was cited on September 2 for speeding, going 68 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Jessenia Elizabeth Garcia, 19, of Stantonsburg was cited on September 4 for expired inspection sticker and failure to stop at a stop sign.
