sheriff's report

30 August 2007 — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents:

David Lynn Batten, 58, of Hawkins Drive in Pikeville reported larceny of a motor vehicle. His white Dodge Caravan was stolen from his home after he left the keys in the vehicle.

Nelso Nash Riggs, 67, of Hinnant Road reported damage to his property. Someone had put yellow shoe polish on the window of a vehicle at the home. The person also damaged the fence and toilet papered the bushes in the front yard. The shoe polish caused an estimated $4 worth of damages, and the fence sustained $25 worth of damage.

Mendez George Ramos, 30, of Bentwood Drive reported his cell phone was stolen at a residence on Hooks Road. The LG flip phone is estimated to be worth $20.

Todd Jeffery Morin, 31, of Willowbrook Drive in Pikeville reported that someone had attempted to steal his trampoline from his yard. The unknown suspect took the trampoline, but returned it.
