Register now at WCC

16 August 2007 — Students have only a few days left to enroll and register for fall classes at Wayne Community College. Anyone who hasn’t started the admission process yet needs to get to campus in order to start class on August 20, said Susan Sasser, the college’s director of admissions and records.

Open registration for the fall will be held 8 a.m.-7 p.m. today (August 16) and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. tomorrow on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro. Students must pay their tuition and fees by 3 p.m. tomorrow.

Before new students can register, they must first enroll. Potential students need to submit an application and have all transcripts sent to the college. They also must take the college’s placement tests.
The college’s admission application, catalog and fall schedule are available in the Office of Admissions and Records or online at www.waynecc.edu.

At $42.00 per credit hour, a semester’s tuition for a full-time (16 credit-hour) in-state student is $672. Students must also factor in the $16 activity fee, $12 technology fee and the cost of books and equipment, which can be as much as tuition.

Approximately 60 percent of WCC’s students receive some form of financial assistance and all are encouraged to apply for financial aid. The best way to do that is online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, but the college’s financial aid personnel are available if assistance is needed.

Call (919) 735-5151 for more information.
