Pikeville man sought in murder16 August 2007 — A Pikeville resident is being sought in the apparent shooting death of a Princeton man. Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies and Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to Waynewoods Drive near the Saulston community at around 12:30 p.m. on August 13, in reference to a fight between Hispanic males and an automobile accident. Deputies found a Hispanic male later identified as Junior Guerra of Princeton, unresponsive at the scene, where he was pronounced dead. Their investigation showed that Mr. Guerra’s death was the result of a confrontation between three Hispanic males, and Guerra apparently died of gunshot wounds. Two motor vehicles involved in the confrontation were found wrecked at the scene, one upside down. The victim was reportedly dragged by one of the cars during the confrontation. The incident may have developed from a domestic dispute between the victim and the victim’s family, and the perpetrator. A warrant for arrest for one count of murder has been issued on Orbelin Pacheco Mejia. Mejia is also known by Nelbar Sanchez Bermudez, or the nickname Timbas. His last known address is 2660 Big Daddy’s Road, Pikeville. Anyone with information pertaining to the location of Mejia is asked to contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 731-1481 or Wayne County Crimestoppers at 735-2255. Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Det./Sgt. Richard Winders is the lead investigator in the case. Deputies from all branches of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office have assisted in the investigation.
