Hess comes to town

By Sarah A. Wise
NL Staff Writer

The view in Fremont is about to look a little bit different as the corporate ownership of the local gas station changes hands next week.

Citizens will face a few hours’ inconvenience at the local convenience store as a white and green Hess sign replaces the red Citgo sign that has lined the street for several years. The store will close down for a few hours on August 2 to make the switch, changing signs and making adjustments to merchandise and prices inside the store.

The buyout of the Fremont Citgo was part of a nine-store buyout by Wilco-Hess earlier this month.
