Barton College honors local attendees

28 June 2007 — Before the end of the spring semester, Barton College students were honored at the Academic Recognition Luncheon held in Hardy Hall.

Local honorees include David Alan Bunn, a junior from Lucama, Ruth O’Neal Science Scholarship recipient; Omega Tau Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society Essay Award second-place winner Jenny Lynn Brown, sophomore from Lucama; Kimberly Anne Morgan, junior from Lucama, Gretchen B. Boyette Endowed Scholarship recipient; Ashley Elizabeth Tart, senior from Lucama, Gary F. Singleton Scholarship recipient; Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society Leadership Award from the School of Nursing recipient Alexis Gregori Hare, senior from Pikeville, who also received a North Carolina Nurse Scholar Award; and Alpha Chi National College Honor Society inductees Cynthia Warren Tyson, senior from Lucama, and Melissa Jean Williams, senior from Pikeville.
