WCC offers nursing courses this fall

21 June 2007 — Registration for Wayne Community College Continuing Education’s fall Nurse Aide I courses will be held on Tuesday, July 10, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro.

This course prepares students for the competency evaluation required for listing as a Certified Nurse Aide with the N.C. Division of Facility Services. Seats are limited for the one morning and two evening sections of the course, which will begin in mid-August.

Registration fee is $66.30.

A reading assessment is now required before students can register for the Nurse Aide I course. Contact the WCC Admissions Office or Counseling Services at (919) 735-5151 to schedule the “Compass” test.

Registration for a five-week Nurse Aide I state exam preparation course, a three-week Nurse Aide Refresher course, and one morning and one evening Nurse Aide II courses will be held July 30-August 3, during the general registration period.

For more information on any of WCC’s nurse aide, pharmacy technician, medication aide, and health unit coordinator courses, contact Margaret Roberton at (919) 735-5151.
