A Goldsboro teenager has been charged in connection with a Pikeville dirtbike robbery. Brendon Markis Davis, 114 Green Valley Drive, has been arrested and charged with two counts felony larceny and two counts felony possession of stolen goods, as the result of an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into the larceny of two dirtbikes off Nor-Am Road. Davis was held under $25,000 bond. One motorcycle has been recovered, and the case was broken with the help of area citizens who called and provided information. The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information on the second motorcycle, a white Yamaha TTR 125 with a medium blue seat, to assist with the case. Vacation Bible School at St. Joseph’s St. Joseph’s United Methodist in Pikeville will hold its Vacation Bible School June 25-29, Monday through Friday. Dinner will be served from 6-7 p.m. each night at a cost of $4 each. Classes will be offered from 7-8:45 p.m. Pleasant Hill VBS Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, located at 1080 Gurley Dairy Road in Pikeville, will hold Vacation Bible School Sunday, June 24 through Thursday, June 28. Sessions will start with a light supper from 6-6:45 p.m. before classes. Local Wilson Tech grads Jacqueline Williams of Fremont earned her Early Childhood Associate & Early Childhood – Teacher Associate diploma with high honors, and Lisa Allen of Stantonsburg her Associate Degree Nursing and Ervin Diggs of Stantonsburg an Automotive Systems Technology Diploma, from Wilson Technical Community College at commencement on May 18. |
