Stantonsburg Police reports

Stantonsburg Police Chief John Hunt noted that his force has been busy over the past month or so, with two arrests just this weekend.
On Saturday, a traffic stop on Moyton Avenue resulted in the DWI arrest of a man from Walstonburg. Antwion Marquette Warren was stopped by an officer, who requested to search the vehicle after he became suspicious of Mr. Warren. The search yielded 1.1 grams of marijuana and 0.6 grams of cocaine in the vehicle, hidden behind the ash tray. Mr. Warren was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and felony possession of cocaine. He was taken to the Wilson County Jail.
A motor vehicle accident on Sunday in the parking lot of the Hasty Mart resulted in the arrest of a wanted person. Tyrone McKeith Robinson of Raleigh was involved in an accident. A driver’s license check revealed that he was wanted by the department of corrections for felony breaking and entering and larceny, as well as probation violation. Mr. Warren was then arrested and taken to the Wilson County jail, where he was placed under a $50,000 cash bond. An additional $500 secured bond was added for a charge of resisting, delaying, and obstructing an officer after Mr. Warren attempted to get out of his vehicle and refused to cooperate.
Chief Hunt added that the department had issued 62 traffic citations during the month of May. These included 30 speeding charges, as well as two DWIs and three drug charges.
