JO L. BURCH
Teresa Jo Lanier Bryan Burch, 53, of Pikeville, died Tuesday, June 5 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday from Cricket Ridge Church, with the Rev. Juanita Hollowell and Dr. Lily Chou officiating. A burial service was held Friday morning at the Amos Lanier Cemetery at Chinquapin.
A member of Cricket Ridge Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, she was a certified day care operator, having been co-owner and director of the former Happy Days Nursery that was in Mount Olive. At the time of her death, she was the director of Pineview Baptist Church Day Care Center in the Belfast community.
Preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Burch; her father, William Earl Lanier; and a brother, Steve Lanier, she is survived by her mother, Dorothy Henderson Lanier of Dudley; a son, William Paul “Bo” Bryan of Aberdeen; a daughter, Mitzi Bryan of Albertson; three grandchildren, Colton Taylor, Gage Bryan, and Zachary Fields; a brother and sister-in-law, Ranny and Anita Lanier of Dudley; another sister-in-law, Debbie Lanier of Grantham; a brother-in-law, Bobby Burch, his wife, Bobbie of Mount Olive; the Buddy Bryan family of Dobbersville; nieces, Courtney King and husband, Andy, of Goldsboro, Ashley, Amber, and Abbie Lanier of Grantham, Taylor Braswell of Wallace, Kim Burch Jones and husband, Darrell, and daughter, Caroline, all of Mount Olive; and a nephew, Trey Braswell of Wallace. As a daycare provider, she is also survived by scores of children who came into her life.

E.B. HOLLOMAN
E. B. Holloman, 68, of Dudley, died Sunday morning, June 10, at his residence.
Born in Duplin County on April 24, 1939, he was the son of the late Emmett of Duplin County and Thelma B. Holloman of Goldsboro. Mr. Holloman had been employed with Bobby Rex Kornegay Surveyors for more than 32 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two children, Sandra Crawford of Mesa, Ariz., and David Holloman of Arizona; one brother, William Holloman and wife, Betty, of Dudley; four sisters, Jean Brown of Pikeville, Pat Toler and husband, J.B., of Rosewood, Judy Utley of Swansboro, Shelby Krafft and husband, Bob, of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Wednesday evening at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
The family requests memorial gifts be directed to the New Wayne County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 227, Goldsboro N.C. 27533 in E.B.’s memory.

LINDA S. STOCKS
Linda Stroud Stocks, 57, of Pikeville, died on Saturday afternoon, June 9, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born on June 18, 1949 in Wayne County to Bertha Smith Stroud of Pikeville and the late Milton Stroud. She was retired from the West Company in Kinston.
Funeral services were Tuesday evening, June 12, at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Hollowell officiating.
Interment was Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Hill Family Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by her husband, Henry E. Stocks of Kinston; her sons, John Thornton and wife, Tammy, of Pikeville and Jason Thornton and wife of Florida; her stepson, David Stocks of Kinston; her brother, Ivey Stroud and wife, Becky, of Raleigh; grandchildren, Elizabeth Thornton, Abigail Thornton, Dylan Stocks and Amanda Jarman; and her great-granddaughter, Ava Jarman.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Mooring.
