Nahunta ECA’s May meeting

by Evelyn P. Crawford

17 May 2007 — A “Care from the Heart” program was presented at the May Nahunta Extension and Community Association meeting by Marguerite “Pat” Kissinger.

Mrs. Kissinger, who is a cancer survivor, spoke from personal and shared experience. She also showed examples of items which are included in “Care From the Heart” kits that she makes for patients diagnosed with breast cancer: a pink pillow, pink armband, pink lotion, an information pamphlet, coupons, a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, and a “Care from the Heart” letter. In closing, Mrs. Kissinger said, “Take what you know and share it.”

A devotional was given by Agnes Corbitt. She spoke on the influence of God and mothers.
Members were reminded of the ECA International Luncheon, to be held May 24 at the Wayne Center. Mexico will be featured.

Hostesses were Mrs. Corbitt and Joyce Lancaster. A door prize was won by Judy Corderio.

The June meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6. It will begin at 10 a.m. with a teddy bear workshop. A luncheon outing will follow at 12 noon.
