L. Falcons jump on E. Alamance early

17 May 2007 — Emily Jordan celebrated her birthday Tuesday night in style with an impressive four hit shutout in Aycock’s 7-0 win over Eastern Alamance.

The win advances CBA to the second round of the State 3-A softball playoffs, when they will host South Central on Friday.

Jordan was not only dominating on the mound, where she rang up seven strikeouts while giving up only one walk, but she also aided her cause at the plate. She had three hits on the night to lead the Lady Falcon offense, driving in two runs.

The Lady Falcons didn’t waste any time getting the offense cranked up, giving Jordan a four run lead in the first, and adding two more in the second.

Rusti Talton also had two hits and two RBI’s to help power the CBA attack. Jasmine Dobbins had a triple as the Aycock girls piled up ten hits on the night.

Things started out a little shaky, as the Lady Falcon defense bobbled the first play of the game. They played errorless ball the rest of the way, however.
