Fire broke out at this Nahunta home early Monday afternoon. Mayola Waddell, 77, and Waddell's granddaughter Shannon Minshew, 36, both succumbed to injuries sustained in the blaze, at 1184 Memorial Church Road. Firefighters from Nahunta, Little River, Polly Watson, Fremont, and Pikeville Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the 911 call, placed by Minshew when the clothes dryer caught on fire.
