Jackson weds Sasser
at Pine Forest UMC

Heather Elizabeth Jackson and Jason Edward Sasser exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony July 15 at 6 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Billy Olsen officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David and Jeannie Jackson of Rosewood, the granddaughter of Rock and Jean Lassiter of Princeton and Bill and Janie Jackson of Rosewood.
She is a 2002 graduate of Rosewood High School and is attending Wayne Community College for an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood. She is employed with First Baptist Daycare as a Lead Teacher.
The groom is the son of Eddie and Janet Sasser of Pikeville, the grandson of Gene and Jean Edgerton of Pikeville and the late Rudolph Sasser and Ms. Ruth Holmes of Dudley and the late Milford Holmes.
He graduated from Charles B. Aycock in 2001and is attending Wayne Community College for a degree in Machining Technology. He is employed with the County of Wayne as a Tele-communicator with the OES Department.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Amber Sasser, sister of the groom was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Melissa Howell of Goldsboro, Amy Jo Barbee of Pikeville and Jennifer Deans of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.
Eddie Sasser served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Joshua Jackson of Goldsboro, brother of the bride, Brian Hester of Princeton, cousin of the bride and Gary Lancaster of Pikeville, friend of the couple.
Madison Honn, cousin of the bride was flower girl.
Presiding at the register was Lauren Taylor; Heather Woods distributed programs, distributors of bubbles were Haley Taylor and Tyler Woods, all cousins of the groom.
Roger Rhodes, friend of the couple, served as acolyte.
Joanne Honn and Joy Overman, aunts of the bride, coordinated and directed the ceremony.
David Farmer, friend of the bride was sound technician.
A program of wedding music was provided by Tara Boyette of Rosewood, and Stephen Reaves of Goldsboro; vocalists and Timmy Price of Rosewood, pianist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Lane Tree Golf Club.
Jimmy and Stacee Lassiter, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted the guests at reception.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, the couple will reside in Rosewood.
Events held before the wedding included a bachelor party July 14 hosted by family and friends; a lingerie shower July 12 hosted by the groom’s mother and sister; a miscellaneous shower July 9 hosted by the groom’s family and friends; a miscellaneous shower June 25 hosted by the bride’s mother’s Sunday School Class; a tool time party on June 24 hosted by the father of the bride, brother of the bride and Jed Honn and Chris Overman, uncles of the bride. A Pampered Chef bridal shower was also held on June 24 hosted by the bride’s mother, Joanne Honn and Joy Overman and Stacee Lassiter, aunts of the bride.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Madison’s Steak House.
